研究方向
挖掘和破解基因与天然产物合成之间的关联,是获取新型天然产物药物的关键。运用生物信息学与合成生物学的策略,解析天然产物的生物合成途径,为天然产物的绿色生物制造提供蓝图;进一步对微生物的代谢途径进行工程改造,促进具有高效生物活性的化合物或高附加值化工用品的微生物高效合成。
运用结构生物学和酶工程等方法,研究酶催化反应的分子机制;对酶进行工程改造,实现更高的转化率、发现新的反应类型、构建天然产物衍生物的化合物库。

成果概要
近五年来,针对生物合成机制不明的复杂天然产物,使用合成生物学、结构生物学、生物信息学、酶学、酶工程等多学科手段,进行了基因挖掘与生物合成研究,发现并解析了以“非角鲨烯来源三萜类化合物”为代表的复杂骨架的新型生物合成机制;挖掘了多个骨架后修饰酶催化元件;极大地丰富了天然产物的结构多样性,取得了一系列重要研究进展和成果,以第一作者发表学术论文 11 篇,包含 Nature、Nature Communications、J. Am. Chem. Soc.、Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.、Curr. Opin. Biotechnol.等。
