Prof. Shi received his Ph.D. degree in chemistry in 2002 from University of Maryland. He then worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of California at Berkeley. In 2015, he was appointed as associate professor at University of South Florida, and was promoted to full professor in 2017. His research interests mainly focus on development of new methodology based on triazole-metal catalysts, target-oriented synthesis and application of these molecules in bioorganic chemistry and new material development.
