At 10 a.m of November 27th, the 6th WHU International Exchange Camp of Student Organizations was inaugurated with the theme of “Youth Creates Future”. More than 200 student organization elites from 63 renowned universities and colleges such as Harvard, Yale, Princeton and Tsinghua University in 39 countries and regions gathered together at the opening ceremony to have intercultural communication.
The curtain rose with a video presenting WHU student organizations and reviewing previous International Exchange Camps. WHU Traditional Chinese Martial Arts Association and WHU Student Art Group offered fascinating live performances.
“Holding the International Exchange Camp of Student Organizations is an important exploration towards internationalization as well as building world-class university with Chinese characteristics”, said WHU President Li Xiaohong in the welcome and opening address. President Li hoped young people to practice and pioneer, make contributions to national construction and social progress.
Later on, on behalf of international participants, Lin Ni, the Ivy League Student Council representative, delivered a speech. She expressed her gratitude for the invitation to attend the exchange camp and proposed that creating a better world was our common goal.
At the end of the opening ceremony, various WHU student organizations conveyed their good wishes to the International Exchange Camp with wonderful dancing and singing performances.
In the following week, students from all over the world will enjoy three parts of activities, the International Collegiate Invitation Contest, the Chinese Culture Study Camp and the Jingchu Culture Tour. As the Chinese saying goes, “A single flower does not make a spring, while a hundred flowers in full blossom do.” We hope that all the participants can strengthen communication, share experience and exchange ideas during the one-week exchange activities so as to fully enjoy the most unique exchange camp life as well as create the most beautiful and rewarding WHU memory.
